Carousers, bow in glory. For we have landed upon the most glorious destination for Carousal XXXVIII (387). This will be one for the ages.

In the middle of Missouri is a lake, Lake of the Ozarks. On the shores of that lake is a resort, Lake Breeze Resort. That resort is owned by a high school friend of ours, one Gena Aldrich (McCready). Gena (and her husband Bruce) are hankering for a good time with the boys.

We are booking this way in advance because it is required. If we delay, the opportunity is lost as it is a popular destination. We'll have lake side cabins, pontoon boats and private party decks. The cabins vary in size with two bedrooms, and queen or twin beds.

Gena says this last weekend of August is the best, as the Lake of the Ozarks "Shootout" is then, the largest unsanctioned boat race in the US and a "must-see" event. It draws cigarette style boats from around the world. Yeah, sounds crazy. Insane. And really fun. Gena says the scene is awesome, great people watching as we're grilling up some dinner on the shore.

Can you believe it will be 2023? Seems like yesterday when we were playing caps by the shore. Gena said she'll make a court. Whoa, here we go again! Are you in?
